Step 1
Swish gently with mild shampoo in cold or lukewarm water.
Step 2
Rinse thoroughly then lightly squeeze hair in cold water; making sure not to rub the hair.
Step 3 After towel blot, shake out and drip dry. Do not comb when wet.
Step 4 After the hair is completely dry, comb into desired style using a wide-tooth comb or finger styling only.
Step 5
Starting at the bottom, gently comb the hair using a downward motion, using a wide-tooth comb or finger styling, gradually moving up until you have combed all the hair. Never begin combing at the top or middle, it will damage and tangle hair.
Step 6
For curling your LHB signature lace front wig or Futura Lace Front set your iron between 320F-360F.
Do not go above 360F, anything higher increases the chance of damaging the hair.
Step 7 Long hair products should be braided in a few sections for sleeping or swimming to prevent tangling of the hair. Step 8 Don’t sleep on wet hair. It will matt and tangle up.
Step 9 Don’t spray or put heavy pomade on synthetic hair products. This will dull and matt the hair. _____________________________________
Removing The Shine From Your Synthetic Wigs
Synthetic wigs are an economical way to deal with medical hair loss, natural hair loss, or if you just want to change up your style temporarily. Quality synthetic hair has a human like appearance and can typically only be picked out by the trained eye. Some benefits of synthetic hair are they have memory fibers and are low maintenance. Memory fiber means that the curl will bounce right back even after it has been wet. A draw back of the synthetic hair is they are not heat resistant, so you cannot use any curling irons, blow dryers, or flat irons on them. Even the oven or other sources of heat can damage synthetic wigs. Sometimes, the fibers have too much shine to appear natural.Have you ever received your synthetic wig just to find that it has that too shiny to be natural look, and wondered how to remove that shine? Here are two ways to remove that shine.
-The first tip is to apply some baby powder to the wig. You would want to put some on a powder puff to be sure you don’t apply too much. If you apply too much powder to the wig it will give the wig a gray look. After applying the powder you will want to shake off any excess. If that didn’t remove enough of the shine you will want to repeat until the desired look is achieved.
-Another common way to remove the shine is to soak in vinegar for 5 minutes. After it has soaked you will want to remove from the vinegar rinse it thoroughly and allow to air dry fully. You do not want to blow dry or apply any type of heat to it because the fibers are not heat resistant and you could damage the look of the wig.
